Melissa Shannon is an associate at Norvell IP. She advises clients on all aspects of intellectual property law, with emphasis on trademark issues across a range of industries, including the travel, fashion, skin care, and beverage industries. Melissa's practice focuses on worldwide trademark clearance, procurement, enforcement, licensing, portfolio management, and litigation in federal court and before the US Patent and Trademark Office’s(USPTO) Trademark Trial and Appeal Board, as well as copyright procurement, enforcement, and licensing.
During law school, Melissa competed in the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot Court Competition and was a member of the LUC Law Journal. Melissa received the CALI Excellence for The Future Award in Art Law and Patent Law and was an Intellectual Property Colloquium Fellow. Melissa also externed for the Honorable Patricia O’Brien Sheahan of the Illinois Circuit Court of Cook Country.
