Blake Carey

Blake Carey is an associate at Norvell IP.  He advises clients on all aspects of intellectual property law, with emphasis on trademark issues across a range of industries, including the travel, fashion, skin care, and beverage industries.  Blake's practice focuses on worldwide trademark clearance, procurement, enforcement, licensing, portfolio management, and litigation in federal court and before the US Patent and Trademark Office’s (USPTO) Trademark Trial and Appeal Board, as well as copyright procurement, enforcement, and licensing.

During law school, Blake earned CALI Excellence for The Future Awards in Constitutional Law, Illinois State Constitutional Law, Remedies, and Criminal Practice Ethics. Blake also earned the Paul M. Lisnek Semi-Finalist Award in Trial Advocacy. Additionally, Blake completed an internship with the Office of U.S. Senator Tammy Duckworth. Blake also volunteered with the Champaign County Illinois State’s Attorney’s Office where he assisted with investigations, traffic court, and bond hearings. Prior to law school, Blake served in the field of law enforcement.
