Michael K. Johnson

As an Associate at Norvell IP, Michael advises clients on all aspects of intellectual property law, including trademark and copyright prosecution, enforcement, and portfolio management.  Michael also advises clients on IP-related transactions, such as acquisition and licensing agreements, and has litigation experience through his work on federal district court cases and proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB). 

Before joining the firm, Michael was a Summer Associate at Norvell IP.  While in law school, Michael won Best Brief and was the overall runner-up at the National First Amendment Moot Court Competition, held annually in Washington, D.C.  In addition, Michael interned in-house with a Fortune 500 company and a privately-held national corporation, where he researched and analyzed IP, privacy and data scraping issues. Prior to law school, Michael managed branding initiatives in the Midwest for a national sports organization.
